The Trust & Safety team has the critical responsibility of protecting Credit Karma's members by securing our online processes and preventing online fraud and abuse throughout the Credit Karma product suite. Additionally, the Trust & Safety team helps protect our partners from fraud, abuse and cyber crime. This role in particular will focus on building solutions to help our partners reduce fraud.
What the Job Entails
A Hands-on approach. You'll be implementing and running fraud systems and processes.
Developing effective metrics to measure performance and test fraud prevention rules, models and methodologies.
Investigate potential fraud and respond appropriately.
Represent Credit Karma to various partners and/or government bodies.
Maintain compliance with various regulatory schemes.
Our Ideal Candidate
B.S. degree in Computer Science or relevant major, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 6 or more years of experience in data science, fraud, or security.
Knowledge of at least one programming language such as PHP, Python, Scala, Ruby, Perl, Java, R.
Strong knowledge of SQL.
Strong data query, analytic and modeling skills.
Strong organizational and process management skills.
In depth knowledge of financial fraud and abuse.
Experience in banking or finance preferred.
