Job Description:

Responsible for assisting with bank system administration and implementing projects related to treasury Cash Management services utilized by DFS. Works closely with third-party banks, our hosted Treasury workstation vendor (i.e., FIS) and internal Line of Business partners (i.e., Payment Services). Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Business Technology, Contracts, Vendor Management, and Treasury team members to facilitate, implement, and maintain Treasury technology applications/systems and access to data in a controlled manner. Serves as an administrator of bank systems, working with existing controls to entitle users to new and existing bank account services.

  • Assists in the setup of new bank accounts, service modifications, and closure of bank accounts for the company's banking structure as required while maintaining the company's bank account structure, treasurer's delegations, and the execution of bank authorization documents.

  • Identifies and implements process improvements and/or efficiencies while promoting a risk-aware culture, ensures efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to require standards and processes. Analyzes Discover's bank fees and enhances reconciliation to drive savings and improvements.

  • Assists with maintaining data integrity within the Treasury Workstation as well as implementing projects related to change management requests (i.e., FIS - Quantum), such as a new system upgrade.

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of strong procedures and controls. Monitors and enforces policies, procedures, and controls (Compliance, SOX, other).

  • Coordinates management oversight of Treasury's vendor relationships, performs required reporting and analysis, builds strong working relationships with internal business partners, banks, and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration and Management, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Banking, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we'd also look for:

  • 2+ years of experience in OFAC/Sanction Screening, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management execution, or related field

  • Certified Treasury Professional

  • Project Management Professional

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
