The mandate of the HPE Treasury department is to manage and safeguard the lifeblood of the company, its cash. The Americas Treasury Operations team executes this mission for all countries in the Americas region, but because this includes the US corporate parent, we also manage operations for the company's $13B long-term debt position, $4B commercial paper program, and $19B hedging program. Our team has an opening for a Senior Treasury Analyst in the Houston office supporting overall departmental objectives and initiatives. We are looking for candidates with strong financial acumen, good business sense and the highest level of integrity.


Duties include:

  • Applies treasury subject matter expertise in one or more areas of specialization to contribute to treasury programs of high complexity.

  • Analyzes financial data to summarize findings, draw conclusions, and make treasury program recommendations to project teams.

  • Manages treasury projects that impact the organization in multiple countries, regions, and/or businesses and provides review and recommendations on current treasury processes and technologies that facilitate operational efficiencies.

  • Is accountable for impact analysis of treasury programs and initiatives.

  • Works with tax, legal, and audit functions on areas related to tax planning, foreign exchange, risk management, and treasury solutions.

  • Develops relationships with key business and functional leaders.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • 6+ years related experience in finance, audit, and/or accounting.

  • Relevant certification preferred, CFA, CTP etc.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Systematic understanding of treasury processes, as well as other finance functions.

  • In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to treasury activities.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influence skills.

  • Strong project management, problem solving, natural curiosity, analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

JOB DESCRIPTION This position will be primarily responsible for the issuance and administration of letters of credit from corporate credit facilities and overseeing the issuance of letters of credit/bank guarantees from bilateral credit facilities. In addition, this position will manage the semi-monthly global cash forecast process and, as needed, develop presentations and participate in inter-departmental projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all aspects pertaining to the issuance of letters of credit (L/Cs) with regions, banks, and L/C beneficiaries Recommends language for L/Cs to mitigate risks and meet credit agreement constraints, contract requirements, and legal considerations Monitors L/C portfolio and coordinates with regions for purpose of achieving timely cancellation of outstanding L/Cs Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly consolidated letters of credit reports and summaries Reconciles and arranges payment and allocation/intercompany billing of banking invoices for L/C fees and commissions Compile and analyze cash flow forecasts reported from the regions; project short term liquidity and funding needs around the globe. Perform variance analysis and develop performance reports for cash flow forecasts Assist with special projects related to cash management or corporate finance, as required Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of Treasury experience Must have experience with issuing letters of credit. Must have strong knowledge of letters of credit. Strong analytical and quantitative Strong experience working with financial spreadsheets, formulas, tables, and pivots.
