The Compliance and Regulatory Affairs department (CRA) oversees all product-related compliance and certification issues for Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA).
In this crucial role as the Senior TREAD and Safety Project Lead in Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, you will lead a team responsible for identifying and preventing safety defects across DTNA's entire product line. You will work cross-functionally across many different engineering fields ranging from Chassis to Mechatronics, exposing you to a wide variety of experience and knowledge. You will also have the exciting opportunity to become one of the few experts in the field in Tread and Early Warning Reporting, and will represent DTNA before various governmental authorities.

Lead a team that is responsible for identifying potential safety defects across all Daimler Trucks North America products and manage DTNA government TREAD/Early Warning Reporting system.
Provide hazard and trend analysis of field complaints, and customer complaints to identify potential safety concerns
Provide warranty analysis researching for potential safety and emission defects.
Ensure all government mandated reporting such as death and injury, field complaints and etc are reported as per regulations
Conduct and support defect investigations
Ensure all Recall Campaign material is submitted in accordance with government regulations
Develop new tools, processes and training as required to enhance the performance of the compliance department.
Working with IT personnel, ensure that the government TREAD reporting system continues to comply with current and future regulations
Represent DTNA before government authorities.
Liaise with other Daimler business units such as MB trucks and Fuso to identify potential safety issues on common parts
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering-related or other technical/science degree from an accredited college/university and 6 years of experience required
At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required
An attached resume is required
Strong analytical skills required
Effective interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others required
Previous TREAD related experience preferred
Legal and/or regulatory experience preferred
Experience with warranty analysis tools preferred
Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles preferred
