Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager

Dewberry is seeking a motivated, self-starter for our Raleigh, NC office as a Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to serve our Transportation and Environmental teams. This candidate will have the opportunity to see all facets of transportation project development, including the planning, roadway and drainage design, and traffic analysis. We are seeking a motivated candidate that will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our transportation practice in North Carolina and the surrounding regions. The ideal candidate has prior transportation experience; project management experience is not required but would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

The candidate selected for this position will be involved with the following:

• Managing design or traffic analysis tasks for transportation projects.

• Preparing plans, specifications, and bid packages.

• Coordination with other design professionals and technical staff.

• Monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality.

• Coordinating between transportation design and environmental/planning disciplines.

• Assisting with preparing invoices.

• Identifying new business opportunities.

• Assisting the marketing staff with proposals preparation.

• Representing the firm at professional organization events.

• Training entry-level engineers.

• Interfacing with clients.

• Exercising ethical decision-making and adhering to the Dewberry Code of Conduct.

• Upholding workplace safety and abiding by Dewberry's health and safety, and harassment policies.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.

• 10+ years of transportation project experience.

• NC PE license, or ability to obtain within one year.

• Energetic with ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Project management exposure / experience.
