As a Senior Training and Education Specialist with the Medtronic Global Spine and Biologics group, you will have the responsibility for leading medical education curriculum and content creation for Medical Education and Sales Training across the Spine and Biologics portfolio. Medtronic Spine is part of the Restorative Therapies Group.

Preferred location is Memphis, TN (relocation assistance offered.) Potential for remote arrangement for a top candidate - preference is near a Medtronic site in Minneapolis, MN or Boulder, CO.

A Day in the Life

Content Development & Training Materials

  • Design plan for procedures / products to focus on for curriculum and content design with key internal stakeholder input

  • Partner with KOL Faculty as well as Procedural leads to create educational training materials for new launches

  • Build and implement plan to monitor effectiveness of current curriculum and content

  • Define process for refining existing content while balancing the creation of new curriculum / content

  • Partner on global surgeon focus group strategy to continue evolving our approach to education

  • Lead evaluation / creation and launch unique education formats such as virtual reality, augmented reality, etc.

  • Leverage excellent project management skills to manage multiple projects at various phases

  • Travel requirement: approximately 10-20%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of training, sales, product marketing, medical education or clinical experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Nice to Have

  • Current or previous employment with Medtronic Spine and Biologics or competitive company in marketing, sales training, clinical, or education

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Effective instructional design skills or ability to quickly acquire them

  • Experience in operating room

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships

You'll produce written content, lesson plans including instructor notes and student activity descriptions, presentation decks, code assets, assessments, learning objectives and written content, all to support our students as they learn the core skills of cyber security. Your work product will be extremely impactful, as it forms the core asset around which the daily experience of our students will revolve. Responsibilities * Consistently deliver content that meets spec and is on time to support our program launch roadmap. * Create daily lesson plans consisting of * Presentation decks that instructors use to lecture students on a given learning objective. * Instructor notes that instructors use alongside * Activity descriptions — these are notes describing tasks students complete together in order to advance the learning objective in a given lecture. * Creates curriculum checkpoint content on specific learning objectives. In addition to the in-class experience, our students also spend time reading and completing tasks for a written curriculum hosted on the Thinkful platform. * Creates code assets to support lesson plans, student activities, and written curriculum content. * Iterates on deliverables based on user feedback * Create and field lab exercises that reinforce and develop student skills in areas that correspond with learning objectives. * Collaborate with Instructors, and Instructional Designers, to create, maintain, and improve course content and learning experiences * Define, enhance, and deliver data-driven learning experiences * Utilize student feedback and experimentation to continuously improve teaching and assessment methods. * Evaluate new tools, packages, and tutorials for use in the curriculum.
