Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) is storage for the Internet. Through the use of pioneering techniques in distributed computing, developers can durably store their data on AWS's proven computing infrastructure to achieve virtually limitless storage capacity at minimal cost.

Amazon S3 provides simple APIs that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. While the emerging area of cloud computing has seen tremendous growth over the past few years, we are still in the early stages of realizing its full potential.

We are looking for a Senior TPM to lead an area of strategic importance and significant impact. In this role, you will act as a Sr.

TPM for S3's Storage Engine. We are custodians of all of S3's customer data and have full control of how that data is accessed, stored, kept durable and highly available. We innovate both on the software side and the hardware side to lower latencies for customer storage requests, improve throughput and durability of our customers' data whether its a small application or an exabyte-scale system. We do this while continually driving up efficiency and driving down cost for our customers.

The right candidate will possess a strong technical program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects across multiple teams, and will want to have a lasting impact in the enterprise cloud space. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

You'll dive deep to help SDMs, product leaders, and senior engineers understand the challenges with the vast amount of data ads generate, and you'll invent and simplify as you find new solutions to complex computing problems. This is a big data space, and you'll work with cutting-edge technologies like Elastic Search, Spark, S3, and many AWS tools. Part of your role is to obsesses about the customer and convert that obsession into SLAs, monitors, and metrics that help the team understand the relative priority of their investments. You'll work across director and VP levels to help all of advertising make the right long term infrastructure and product decisions, influencing with a unique technical point of view. Advertising at Amazon is doubling in revenue and staffing every year, which creates unique challenges for a senior leader to lead program design, influence organizational design, and drive new ways of delivering software more quickly and more smoothly. As the Principal TPM you'll be an architect that helps our systems, and programs, continue this amazing growth. Ideal candidates for this role will love solving thorny technical problems and diving deep. They answer questions with data. They don't argue, they simply present data, algorithms, and use cases that win arguments for them. They are pragmatic, knowing that they can't deliver a perfect solution the first time but also that customers need to have a great experience.
