We are looking for a Senior Teradata Data Architect / Developer to work in the Finance Domain with at least 8 year's experience. The candidate must have in-depth expertise in physical data modeling practices and Teradata performance engineering. The candidate will work closely with the database core team on infrastructure components and with application feature teams to deploy critical business applications. This candidate must be an effective leader and communicator who can work with others to communicate our strategy and impact our implementations. The candidate will work across various business domains in order to model critical business applications in the Finance Data Warehouse.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with technical leaders and feature teams across finance technology to understand data model, performance and reporting requirements

  • Provide leadership and overall direction to the database component engineering team

  • Liaise with data access tier component owners to architect solutions that will integrate seamlessly with the persistence layer and ensure maximum performance

  • Perform hands-on data modeling, database tuning and outage triage

  • Must be a team player and willing to work and respect offshore teams.

  • Willingness to work in flexible hours in order to support different regions.


Experience in Teradata 15.10/16 with following experience in following area;

  • Logical/Physical modeling.

  • Must have wide experience in following Teradata specific tools and development area.

  • Performance and Tuning

  • Compression

  • Workload Management

  • Procedures

  • Indexes

  • Export/Import Utilities

  • Range Partitions

  • Complex SQL constructs

  • Master in understanding explains

  • Development, Integration, Implementation, Maintenance, Testing, Production Support of Software Applications in Data warehousing Environment in conjunction with various other Source systems including Legacy (Mainframe) Environment.Expert level skills on MLOAD, FLOAD, BTEQ, JCL, Teradata V2R5/V2R6 SQL, Informatica Power center 7.x/8.x to perform client side operations.

  • Extensive work in ETL process consisting of data transformation, data validation, data sourcing, mapping, data conversion and loading.

  • Proficient in understanding business processes / requirements and translating them into technical requirements.

  • Proficient in Data Architecture in Teradata Data warehousing environment.

  • Extensively worked with large Databases (200TB) in Production environments.

  • Data Processing experience in designing and implementing EDW, mainly transformation processes using ETL tool informatica Power Center.

  • Extensive experience in implementation of transformations, Scripts and execution of test plans for loading the data successfully into the targets.

  • Worked extensively on Logical/Extended Logical and Physical Data modeling. Good working knowledge of Power Designer 16.10

  • Exposure and implementation of Pushdown optimization,UDF and Dynamic partitioning features of Informatica Powercenter 8.x.

  • Exposure to Data Mapping/Modelling for data warehousing and Acquisition/Conversion related tasks.

  • Thorough understanding and good practical knowledge of creating, managing and using database object like User, Database, Views, Macros, Index.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Passion for continuous learning/personal development, team person, excellent customer service.

  • Certified Teradata Master Professional

  • Degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent

To date the strategy has focused on efforts tied to supporting the company's efforts for compliance with multiple regulatory requirements including Risk Data Aggregation (RDA), Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Global Resolution and Recovery Planning (GRRP) and Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR). As the firm moves forward to realize the objectives of Operational Excellence (OpEx), the data strategy, and more specifically the support function EDA provides needs to evolve in parallel. The EDA team will partner with business and technology owners to conduct a forensic assessment of the data framework supporting their existing processes. In addition, as the horizontal processes defined as part of OpEx begin to take shape EDA will continue to consult on how the data framework should evolve in parallel with the horizontal process.
