Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Serve as a top technical expert in telecom implementations and participate in setting the overall product direction for assigned telecom systems. Address and resolve the most complex problems tied to the underlying design/architecture of specific platforms.

    Recommend telecom upgrades or new solutions to meet identified requirements. Monitor and evaluate overall telecom system capacity and bandwidth. Analyze the impact of new telecom deployments and develop recommendations that minimize their impact on production environments.

    Analyze data circuit bandwidth and site-to-site connectivity needs. Lead the implementation of telecom projects. Estimate time, costs, and resources for end user/customer approval.

    Develop layouts and blueprints for network deployments. Recommend team members for projects based on their capabilities and experience. Serve as a subject-matter expert on project teams.

    Complete complex technical assignments and assign work to other telecom team members. Attend telecom strategy and planning meetings. Participate in the development of service level agreements for assigned systems/platforms.

    Monitor availability, reliability, and performance results against established SLA criteria, resolving problems as they arise. Prepare SLA metrics for monthly service level reports. Conduct on-site assessments to determine physician practice telecom needs.

    Deploy needed telecom infrastructure, ensuring all deployments comply with established physical and remote access security standards. Build connectivity tunnels for non-supported practices with third-party carriers as required. Establish overall standards for telecom platforms in collaboration with the Telecom Coordinator, including configurations, naming conventions, testing, and phase-out standards.

    Design telecom closet layouts based on equipment specifications, power needs, and other requirements. Develop closet maintenance schedules based on equipment requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and IS standards.

    Design and configure telecom security components (passwords, firewalls, etc.) to secure infrastructure components and KHN networks from intrusion.

    Implement telecom security policies with the Security team, including password requirements, system audits, lockout policies, and system administrator access in compliance with KHN standards, HIPPA requirements, and other healthcare regulations. Participate in the re-evaluation of telecom systems in the areas of reliability, efficiency, performance, and compatibility for replacement with better solutions. Work with vendors to assess new technologies and to develop proof-of-concept systems.

    Conduct research on new network technologies and platforms under the direction of the Telecom Coordinator. Work with end-users to investigate telecom solutions for specific business needs. Orient new team members and cross-train team members on telecom hardware, application support utilities, and related equipment. Perform Telecom Engineer duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.

  • Advanced certifications in telecom systems/platforms

  • Knowledge of Cisco Voice and system integrations

Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities * The Nursing Assistant serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team. * The NA collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating the day to day activities of the patient care unit. This includes the processing of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians and interdepartmental personnel. * The NA serves as a resource for physicians and other members of the health care team for the electronic medical record. * The NA performs nursing care skills that have been delegated by the licensed nurse. She/he plays an integral role in the patient care experience and both directly and indirectly impacts the perception of care.
