Job Summary:
This position will lead and support engineering and technical development projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Defines systems engineering requirements and performs analysis
Runs system performance analysis
Provides systems engineering support for new satellite development projects
Provides systems engineering support for proposal evaluation for new service business
Provides systems engineering support to other groups to work with external vendors
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly and concisely with all departments and levels of management.
Strong problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints.
Strong data analytics background with Power Bi or similar tools knowledge
Outstanding organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to identify and seek needed information.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in electrical engineering with specialization in wireless communication
Experience in Satellite payload engineering is a plus
At least 10 years of experience in engineering, systems design, satellite systems engineering or other related fields.
Programming skills with Python, SQL for systems engineering support tools
Experience with using lab test equipment (spectrum analyzers/network analyzer/signal generator) for making RF measurements.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Willing and able to travel domestic and international if required
This is a salaried position which will require occasional after hours, weekend, and holiday work. This work will not be separately compensated.
