    Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work-from-home role but will ultimately work in the 3003 Summit office in Atlanta GA.

The Sr. Technology Service Manager is responsible for industry best practices and tools for their service management domain. The Technology Service Manager plays a role in process management, setting service strategy, designing services, transitioning services to production, operating services and continually improving services.

  • Your Role:*

  • Defines the policies, processes, and procedures for their service management domain.

  • Ensures that changes to service management policies, processes, and procedures for their domain are approved and communicated before being implemented.

  • Trains stakeholders in service management policies, processes, and procedures for their domain.

  • Produces and maintains plans which prioritize and plan technology activities and targets for their service management domain.

  • Approves service management requirements and costs for their domain from users for new or enhanced technology services.

  • Creates design criteria for their service management domain to be applied to new or enhanced technology services.

  • Defines service management targets for their domain as a basis for SLAs for new or enhanced technology services.

  • Approves the implementation of service management requirements for their domain.

  • Monitors resources and performance and that information recorded is kept up-to-date and used to support service management activities for their domain.

  • Provides reports to ensure that services are measured and monitored for their service management domain.

  • Addresses shortfalls to agreed service levels for their service management domain.

  • Analyzes data, predicting trends and themes for their service management domain.

  • Coordinates all continuous improvement activities for their service management domain.

  • Assesses new technologies for use by their service management domain that might improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process.

  • Audits the completeness and accuracy of the information documented for their service management domain.

Minimum Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education

  • 5 -8 years of working experience of performing service management activities

  • Working experience in specific service management domain

You will manage all phases of the project through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, and construction documents with authority to direct and monitor all activities on complex projects of the largest magnitude. As a Sr. Project Manager, you will: * Understand design philosophies, overall building design concepts, design software technology, and delivery methods. * Have experience in managing the planning, programming and design for laboratories, technology, or higher education research/STEM type projects. * Understand and respond to the technical implications of design decisions. * Facilitate firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability. * Understand all aspects and phases of the architectural, design, and production process. * Define, monitor, and maintain control of the scope of work and services for the project including project schedule and work plan. * Prepare and negotiate client and consultant proposals, fees, schedules, and contracts. * Be primary coordinator of all communication between the client and Perkins&Will (including Managing Principal, Design Principal, and Technical Principal) ensuring timely resolution of client concerns and management of business issues including contracts and additional services. * Be responsible for the complete integration of design and technical aspects of the project. * Be responsible for the clear and timely communication of information to the project team and to ensure compliance with the project team's goals. * Monitor the performance of the project team and approach to assure that our quality standards and design goals are being met. * Establish, maintain, and document regular project related meetings including client, internal team, and consultants' meetings. * Initiate, document, and maintain project set-up, including contract review, project process and filing procedures, work authorizations, and assisting accounting in timely distribution of invoices. * Be responsible for meeting or exceeding the financial goals established for the project and providing timely and appropriate information to Project Accountant to initiate invoicing. * Have direct contact responsibility with clients and associated consultants to ensure timely collections and management of delinquent accounts receivables. * Ensure the orderly and complete preparation, distribution, and retention of all project written records. * Consider risk management by monitoring client issues and technical issues in a timely manner to minimize liability. * Be responsible for the orderly close out of projects including contractual requirements. * Follow through with post contract administration requirements (follow-up phone calls to ensure client satisfaction and source additional marketing leads, complete final historical database, etc.). * Coordinate staffing resources with Operations Director. * Assure a positive teamwork atmosphere and assist in supporting the development and retention of quality staff, including training, development, and mentoring. * Participate in marketing opportunities and facilitate multi-discipline/office collaboration within firm. * Develop and maintain successful client relationships for repeat business. To join us, you should have: * A professional degree in architecture or related discipline. * 10+ years of experience. * Science & Technology and/or Higher Education experience. * Advanced knowledge of design process, construction documentation, construction administration, and materials. * Strong project budgeting and contract negotiations skills. * Strong working relationships with clients and consultants. * Basic Revit knowledge. * Strong project management software skills. * Experience in directing, mentoring, and coordinating project teams. * A collaborative and professional work ethic. * Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening, and written, including client presentation skills. * LEED GA within 6 months of hire. * Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you within 6 months of hire: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, CPHC/CPHE Passive House Institute Certified Passive House, or RELi AP * Licensure strongly preferred.
