Senior Technician - PLC Programming

Job Summary and Description:

Provides technical assistance and advice to Engineers, Project Managers and Program Managers. Normally receives little instruction on daily work; will receive guidance on taking on new complex assignments. Performs engineering or scientific services that may include but are not limited to the following (in compliance with current industry and Government practices):

  • Tests and evaluation

  • Technology planning

  • Systems architecture development

  • Requirements development

  • Concept development

  • Systems design

  • System development and integration

  • Systems operation and construction

  • Integrated logistics support

  • Modeling and simulation

  • May provide oversight and training to other Technicians.

Education:

Certification and/or Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of prior experience as a technician in at least one of the primary engineering or scientific disciplines.

  • Must be able to set up, assemble, install or build components of experimental apparatus or equipment.

  • Expertise in a specific field requiring specialized training and experience.

  • Performs work of broad scope and complexity that requires application of demonstrated ability to interpret, select, adapt and apply many guidelines, precedents and principles and practices which apply to the area of specialization.

Additional Job Information:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with data acquisition instruments

  • Experience in automating data capture, utilizing PLC/HMI interfaces strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of instrument networking also strongly preferred.

  • The ability to work at heights greater than 100'

  • The ability to work outdoors during in-climate weather.

  • Experience with high voltage electricity transmission and distribution systems as a plus

JOB TITLE: ACTIVITIES SPECIALIST DEPARTMENT: HNE - Program REPORTS TO: Assistant Program Director FLSA STATUS: Seasonal Salary or Hourly BENEFITS: Bi-weekly pay NOTES: 5 Openings; Must be 18-years old by the start of Staff Orientation We want our staff to enjoy camp and welcome you to participate in the activities and chapels that we offer when you are not assigned work. All staff work a 5 or 6-day week with 1 or 2 days off per week. Job Summary: To promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the leading of safe and engaging recreational activities for campers and guests. Activities may include Archery, Paintball, High Ropes and Adventure Course, games rooms, recreation areas, and Mechanical Bull. Responsible for recreation setup, field or equipment preparation, overseeing scheduled activities, as well as recreation area clean up and repairs. Duties & Responsibilities General: * Show respect to campers, guests, peers, staff, and self * Serve as a positive role model, show enthusiasm and display a positive attitude * Be a witness for Jesus Christ in all words and actions, sharing Christs love with the public, campers, and staff. Specific: * Know how to guide participants through the activity with good judgment * Keep areas safe, clean, and in operational condition * Always abide by the safety, equipment and personal guidelines * Able to teach activity classes and staff areas as needed, always be prepared to lead a course debriefing, including a personally meaningful Spiritual correlation to the activity and experience Qualifications & Requirements: General: * Participate in staff training which will be anywhere from 6-12 days in length * Ability to be on-site while camp programs are in session * Has a sincere love for the Lord and a desire to see campers come to know and grow in Him * Agreement with the theological positions, philosophy, and policies of HLCC * Able to fulfill Hume Lake Christian Camps purpose and core values * Positive formal and informal performance reviews Specific: * Demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to guide participants through the activity * Observes participant behavior, assess its appropriateness, and enforce safety in a fitting manner Work Environment & Physical Demands: * You will be required to live on-site during the camp session. Experience working with youth and adults from diverse backgrounds, working as a team as well as independently. * Physical requirements include bending, lifting, sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, running, and possibly swimming. Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and normal range of eyesight and hearing required to communicate with staff and manipulate camp equipment. Must operate with daily exposure to the cold, heat, rain, sun, and varying other weather conditions, as well as under irregular working hours in a camp environment. Able to lift 25-50 pounds.
