We have an exciting onsite opportunity for a Senior Technical Support Specialist!

The Secure Computing Digital Technology team is looking for a motivated Senior Technical Support Specialist to work within our West Palm Beach group. You'll support other Pratt & Whitney employees, while working with a dedicated team of IT architects, system administrators, and support professionals to deploy and manage technology that meet the strict requirements of our internal customers and the United States Government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolution of help desk tickets, break-fix activities, and triaging security-related incidents

  • Hands-on management of desktop support activities to include - imaging, hardware and software troubleshooting, hardware deployment and refresh

  • Development, maintenance, and usage of standard work and documentation

  • Assist in the vulnerability patch management program to include deployment, reporting, and validation

  • Creation and maintenance of user accounts

  • Maintenance of antivirus software and definition updates

  • Hands-on printer management, including configuring print queues and ports, troubleshooting, and deployment

  • Frontline help desk support

  • Individual contributor for large projects

  • Must obtain (within 6 months of hire) and maintain DoD-recognized cybersecurity baseline certifications such as Security+.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in an IT support role ; OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in an IT support role; OR an Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience in an IT support role ; OR in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of experience in an IT support role.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen - this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance

  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification - ex. Security+, CySA+

  • Experience with RMF, JSIG, DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, CNSSI 1253

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, OS imaging, installation, configuration, and support & troubleshooting

  • Full understanding of MS Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Skype from an installation, configuration and troubleshooting perspective

  • Experience with administration of Windows and Linux systems

  • Familiarity with security hardening guides & tools (DISA STIGs/SCAP)

  • Experience in application installation and support

  • General networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS

  • Familiarity with VOIP technology for phone support.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

  • This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
