CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Technical Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team in the Indianapolis, IN office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Assistance
Provides-on call IT support during business hours
Logs Helpdesk requests in the tracking system and provides technical assistance
Handles general computer troubleshooting, including hardware and software support
Troubleshoots printer and plotter issues
Provides remote technical assistance throughout the organization
Software
Installs new software on company computers
Builds new and/or rebuild existing computers
Provides Windows operating system and Office 365 product support
Contributes to software testing projects
Maintains software inventory and licensing compliance
Network Assistance
Provides and supports ethernet connectivity to network devices
Assists with telecommunications support
Provides VPN connectivity support
Escalates network related outages
Miscellaneous
Updates IT documentation, FAQ's, and training materials
Conducts Information Technology Orientation for new employees
Assists with office expansion and reconstruction projects
Maintains Information Technology hardware
Requires some project-related travel
Trains and mentors more junior level Support Specialists
Performs other related duties, as assigned

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to other offices as needed

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years of Technical Support experience
Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows & Office 365 applications
MS Certified Professional certification preferred
Experience supporting AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred

VIEW JOBS Job Purpose: The person in this role will be a working supervisor, providing direct expert-level product support and escalation management in addition to leading a team of individuals within the Global Technical Support team for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences products. The position reports to the Global Technical Support Manager within the Global Service organization. International and domestic travel is required approximately 25%. Ability to envision and introduce creative tools for fast and effective interaction with the field combining high technical complexity and commercial interests in a seamless and user-friendly manner would be a significant plus. * Travel may be required 30% of the time.
