CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Technical Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team in the Indianapolis, IN office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Assistance

  • Provides-on call IT support during business hours

  • Logs Helpdesk requests in the tracking system and provides technical assistance

  • Handles general computer troubleshooting, including hardware and software support

  • Troubleshoots printer and plotter issues

  • Provides remote technical assistance throughout the organization

  • Software

  • Installs new software on company computers

  • Builds new and/or rebuild existing computers

  • Provides Windows operating system and Office 365 product support

  • Contributes to software testing projects

  • Maintains software inventory and licensing compliance

  • Network Assistance

  • Provides and supports ethernet connectivity to network devices

  • Assists with telecommunications support

  • Provides VPN connectivity support

  • Escalates network related outages

  • Miscellaneous

  • Updates IT documentation, FAQ's, and training materials

  • Conducts Information Technology Orientation for new employees

  • Assists with office expansion and reconstruction projects

  • Maintains Information Technology hardware

  • Requires some project-related travel

  • Trains and mentors more junior level Support Specialists

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred

  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to other offices as needed

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of Technical Support experience

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows & Office 365 applications

  • MS Certified Professional certification preferred

  • Experience supporting AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred

VIEW JOBS 1/21/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-04-21T00:00 Job Purpose: The person in this role will be a working supervisor, providing direct expert-level product support and escalation management in addition to leading a team of individuals within the Global Technical Support team for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences products. The position reports to the Global Technical Support Manager within the Global Service organization. International and domestic travel is required approximately 25%. Responsibilities: * Lead a team within the Indianapolis Global Technical Support team; responsible for global support strategy and plans, preparing global service, field applications, call center operations and technical training to support new product launches and lead the organizations through product introduction. * Own and drive the escalation process, ensure acceptance, containment, and closure of high impact escalations within expected targets * Oversee scheduling of all training activities associated with relevant product lines * Drive team engagement by setting objectives and creating development plans to achieve desired outcomes * Develop strong working relationships with internal business partners and functions * Leads by example to develop a robust continuous improvement culture for key service processes * Assumes accountability around daily management and monthly KPI's * Provide troubleshooting support to field service associates during on-site visits to promote customer up-time * Lead technical and Product Line escalations of product related technical system issues * Train field specialists and customer instructors * Provide recommendations to development projects as a customer and service advocate * Provide recommendations to design and test methods for verification of all service procedures Qualifications * Strong leadership skills, positive attitude and motivator * Inclination and ability to listen to various stakeholders (e.g. Customers, Sales, Service) and generate actionable insights * Successfully deliver results while quickly adapting to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges. * Sense of Urgency - must have the drive/motivation to take action.
