You will provide customer support for onsite installations, repairs and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment primarily in Hillsboro Oregon. You will receive training in Austin, TX, Hillsboro, OR, or Japan for a period of 1-3 months. This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.

Key Responsibilities : Perform routine maintenance and inspections on semiconductor system equipment, ensuring adherence to factory specifications and optimal performance. Instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of system equipment, fostering a strong understanding of best practices and safety measures. Act as the Company Liaison for customers regarding assigned projects, such as installations and major component replacements, building lasting relationships and promoting positive customer experiences.

Independently and collaboratively perform complex equipment repairs, maintenance, and replacements. Deliver technical support and guidance to customers, addressing operational inquiries, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and enhance customer satisfaction. Identify and report equipment errors, performance issues, and status updates to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and maintenance processes.

Maintain accurate records of all service activities and provide regular progress reports. Conduct training sessions for customer personnel to ensure proficiency in equipment service and operation procedures. Collaborate with fellow field technicians to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications & Requirements Bachelors Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (i.e. technical training, military training or technical school). 5 years of experience. Experience or knowledge in optical, lasers, softwre, robotics, precision mechanical skills or chemicals is required. Knowledge of Linux operating system is preferred.

Hands on experience with electronic testing tools required. Hands on mechanical skills is preferred. Must be able to travel and work flexible schedules.

Must feel comfortable working in a cleanroom environment most of the day (wearing full clean room suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses). May require domestic travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary). Employee is required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. Physical Demands of Position Position requires continuous physical effort; intermittent and long-term work cycles; standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Lifting more than 25 lbs requires additional help. Employee may be required to work at a computer terminal for long periods of time.

Working Conditions Employee will be able to hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone. Mental alertness is a must. Must feel comfortable working in a cleanroom environment most of the day (wearing full clean room suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses). Employee may be exposed to atmospheric conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and varying temperatures (to within OSHA standards). Domestic and International travel may be required.
