Senior Technical Service & Training Specialist position is a proven leader and technical expert in all aspects of the certification service offerings. Primary responsibilities include; development and delivery of both in-house and customer technical training programs, establishing and maintaining service delivery specifications along with the corresponding documentation requirements, and providing high-level technical assistance to operations departments related to manufacturer specifications, test equipment operation, compliance with industry guidelines, standards and recommended practices. This position also acts as a team leader within the group, providing coaching and supervisory support to department personnel. #monsterSTE
Works closely with the CECS & BioDecon service teams to develop training curriculum utilizing various delivery methods (web-based, instructor-led, blended, etc) that effectively prepares Certification Technicians to perform required services according to recognized industry standards including; NSF, ASHRAE, GMP USP-797, USP-800 and USP 1116, etc. Functions as one of the primary instructors for all technical training programs offered. Develops and delivers both in-house and field-based customer training programs.
Develops test specifications and work instructions associated with performing certification services on biosafety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, clean rooms, etc. Creates and maintains the corresponding forms / report templates used to execute these services in the field.
Provide Customer Service and correspondence for USP remediation consulting when sampling data indicates that areas are out of compliance. Solve Customer problems by applying microbial expertise to specific applications. Consult with Customers by recommending improvements and providing referrals for additional industry support if needed and proactively respond to and resolve other Customer Environmental Monitoring questions and issues.
Function as a technical expert on the certication service offerings and provides high-level assistance to operations departments related to manufacturer specifications, test equipment operation, compliance with industry guidelines, standards and recommended practices.
Leads & supports continuous improvement initiatives designed to maximize capacity and efficiency of department operations.
Oversees the maintenance and update of technical documentation files for all equipment serviced and develops programs to make this information more accessible to field-personnel.
Acts as a team leader and mentor to all CECS team members. Provides supervisory oversite on day-to-day operational issues, offers employee performance input to the department manager and helps develop the technical abilities of department resources.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Have experience performing educational instruction in a group setting as well as developing lesson plans.
Minimum of 8 years experience in the service and repair of both electronic and electromechanical equipment.
Proven strong project management skills with the ability to manage/drive projects to completion, - emphasis on Service related functions. A minimum of 3 years experience required.
Demonstrated leadership skills including, taking initiative, initiating change, promoting teamwork, championing ideas, taking appropriate risks, translating ideas into specific tasks, gaining confidence and trust of others.
Strong organization, planning and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of employees, as well as Customers and other external contacts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and interpret a variety of technical data and documents.
Experience with FDA or GMP, Microbiological regulations related to Pharmaceutical compounding for medical or pharmaceutical equipment preferred.
