The Role

Proofpoint is seeking a proactive, organized and experienced individual with excellent customer service and project management skills to join the Professional Services team. Your role will include planning and managing Proofpoint's People Centric Security Program Customers. The majority of these changes will be extremely large, complex engagements. You will be responsible for setting customer expectations, tracking SOWs, facilitating communication and escalations and planning and driving projects to successful completion.

Your day-to-day

  • Engage with new and existing enterprise customers in a program management capacity, engaging Proofpoint resources to lead the customer in Proofpoint's People-Centric Security Program.

  • Collaborate with Resident CISO, Threat Analysts, Technical Account Managers, Solutions Architects, Technical Consultants, and Technical Project Managers to deliver results in improving the customer's security posture and maturity.

  • Coordinate people-centric assessment activities with Proofpoint and customer resources.

  • Align customer to complete implementations, training activities, People-centric

  • Develop and deliver quarterly executive reports on progress of the People-Centric Security Program

  • Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities for adding additional products

  • Collaborate with Proofpoint Leadership in establishing People-Centric Security Program's best practices

  • Provide mentoring and leadership to the Professional Services team as well as the larger sales and support organization

What you bring to the team

  • BSCS or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years industry experience in a customer-facing Professional Services role

  • 5+ years industry experience in a Project or Program Management role

  • Strong project and program management skills and high attention to detail

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Technical background in enterprise applications, software, and services

  • A thorough background of Internet protocols and how they work (HTTP, SMTP, etc.)

  • Knowledge of networking topology, TCP/IP protocol, network configuration and components (firewalls, routers, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of the big picture

  • Approachable demeanor, the ability to build trust with team members

  • Able to impact at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically

  • Resourceful and innovative at tackling complex challenges in a timely matter.

  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and enhance cooperative working relationships

Join us in our mission! We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Research Project Management Director reporting to the Head of Research Operations. The successful candidate will have both project and managerial responsibilities for a team of Research Project Managers (RPMs) in executing Research governance and supporting Research Teams (RT) through the advancement of our exciting and expansive CAR T and TCR pipelines and next generation adaptive immunotherapy. The successful person is responsible for the following deliverables, including but not limited to: * Effectively provide leadership to Research Project Management function through * Imparting strategy and knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development, especially in discovery research, preclinical development, and translational sciences/medicine in cell therapy, immunology, oncology or related fields. * Demonstrating strong project management technical and soft skills. * Building a high value-added team, developing/coaching staff and aligning on best practices. * Proactively lead the development project management best practices, tools, templates and processes to expand the existing Research Governance, and provide additional structure, consistency and guidance to support optimizing the productivity of RTs, including * Generic timelines * Presentation templates * Checklists for key milestones * Team collaborations tools (e.g. SharePoint, and MS Team) * Risk analysis * Develop, track and report holistic Research project status/dashboard to inform stakeholders * Successfully implement/communicate Research Governance roadmap and business process to * Research Teams (RTs) * Key internal and external (to Research) stakeholders * Support Research Teams (RTs) * Provide Research Teams with project management leadership and insights in research strategy and process to guide and organize the Research Team. * Support the development of Research strategy and plan according to Research Governance, including project planning and necessary scenario development, planning and analysis. * Organize and manage research project team meetings, ensuring timely, efficient, and action-oriented operations. * Work in partnership with project lead and functional leads, to develop, identify risks and opportunities, implement corrective actions and execute on the project plan and strategy. * Manage external collaboration project and all associated interactions (e.g. meetings, communications etc.) with the partners when necessary. * Direct research project communications and ensures that all stakeholders (internally and externally) are fully informed and knowledgeable of project activities and their status. * Manage research project team through stage gate reviews toward milestone completion. * Liaise with cross-functional and functional stakeholders (e.g. Program Manager, CMC Program Manager, Alliance Manager, Legal and Regulatory representatives etc.) to execute on cross-functional deliverables and resolve issues. * Implement best-in-class project management processes and tools/templates such as project schedules, Gantt charts, action/decision logs, risk registers, SharePoint site etc. * Manage and track non-clinical and clinical study report deliverables for IND and BLA filings. * Provide inputs on behalf of the RT for the LE process. * Lead/manage Research strategic initiatives and/or governance reviews Requirements: * 12+ years of relevant experience and a BS in immunology/cell biology or related fields or; 10+ years of relevant experience and a MS in immunology/cell biology or related fields or MBA; 6+ years of relevant experience and a PhD in immunology/cell biology or related field or a PharmD, DVM or MD degree. A solid scientific background is a must.
