Summary

The mission of the FORTNA Business Transformation Office (BTO) is to lead the organization toward one business-owned, business-led, business-designed operating model enabled by technology. The BTO is a collaboration of experts in data management, business applications architecture, business process and policy, global process owners, and organizational change management. When transformation goals have been achieved in the coming years, the BTO will shift its focus back to its origins as the Project Management Office (PMO).

The Sr Technical Project Manager will work under the direction of the Director, Business Applications Architecture within the Business Transformation Office (BTO) / Project Management Office (PMO) on one or more projects to support business transformation at FORTNA. The Sr PM will lead projects for internal customers to develop and implement software, business intelligence, and other technical tools and processes across the global FORTNA enterprise.

This Sr Project Manager will drive projects throughout the lifecycle including requirements definition, solution, planning, execution, and transition to long-term governance. They will be a change champion promoting collaboration and adoption at all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions

• Execute all project management functions through the lifecycle of internal business application and process projects utilizing FORTNA processes and PMI best-practice to deliver requirements on time and on budget

• Ensure identification of functional and technical requirements including interfaces, impacts on up- and downstream systems, data management, testing considerations, and support

• Coordinate stakeholders across FORTNA business units and functional units (e.g., Project Management, IT, Finance, Engineering, etc.) from executive to end-user level

• Identify, analyze, and proactively manage project, financial, and operational risk

• Demonstrate competency in managing a global delivery model

• Champion organizational change management through stakeholder engagement and building communication, training, and governance into project plans

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

• Leadership style that exhibits high energy, efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and accountability for results across diverse people and geographies

• Travel as needed for workshops, meetings, and key rollouts

Required

• Bachelor's degree required plus 5 or more years of experience in project management of software, IT, or technical projects; or Associates degree plus 7 years or more of experience in project management of software, IT, or technical projects

• PMP certification required; certifications in Agile frameworks, LEAN, and/or Six Sigma are a plus

• Proficiency with Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project Professional

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Experience coordinating activities across departments and distributed teams

• Mindset of continuous improvement

• Travel required on average 10-25% depending on project needs

Preferred

• Familiarity with the capabilities of the Microsoft Power Platform, Project Management Information System software, Scheduling software, and other business applications

• Experience in material handling, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, supply chain, or similar industry

The base salary range for this role is $97,800 to $146,700. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
