Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Object Storage Team owns the highly durable and available Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage Service, that provides unlimited scale for large amounts of unstructured data like videos, backups and logs. The Object Storage team not only develops this service from the ground up but also operates it by actively monitoring and managing availability, latency, integrity, throughput and other key metrics on a real-time basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assume responsibility and drive ownership for issue resolution

  • Accountable for on time product delivery, product quality, release, and operations.

  • Planning and management of small/medium projects and sub-projects independently or in cooperation with other Program managers.

  • Ensuring timely delivery per program requirements.

  • Supporting team members in everyday problems and issues by isolating, and solving problems

  • Manage release management processes and programs

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field

  • Strong technical background

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Experience in Cloud technologies

  • Software development experience is a big plus but is not required

Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc. Responsibilities: * Manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering. * Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program. * Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule. * Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules * Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projectsand activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization. * Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members. Education and Experience Required: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent. * PMP/PMI certification preferred. * Typically 6-10 years experience.
