If so, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager who is passionate about collaborating within a team that is building scalable platform infrastructure frequently iterating with other architects and engineers. About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Manager to build a modern, cloud-native platform infrastructure that enables smooth and efficient business application development and deployment.

  • Drive technological innovation in a sophisticated and constantly evolving problem space.

  • Collaborate easily with internal stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams to shape requirements that drive the overall capabilities of the platform infrastructure and running business applications.

  • Represent the customer and be data-driven when evaluating development decisions with engineering teams through design, testing and product/feature release.

  • Understands how the details fit into the big picture, and influences product direction. Applies deep understanding of customer product usage to provide input to the organization on realized gains and product differentiation.

  • Ensures teams are functionally and technically aligned and driving towards a common goal.

  • Gather, prioritize, and define requirements into executable epics and user stories for engineering.

  • Build and maintain a prioritized backlog of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, based on key collaborator requirements, customer input, and use case development.

  • Own feature design documents to ensure multiple teams apply the solutions.

  • Anticipates critical milestones for release planning and delivery and independently handles their time and work with little oversight.

Characteristics of the role include:

  • Program management - align effort of multiple projects to a larger initiative; connect outcomes to implementation.

  • Project Management - accountable for the breaking down large pieces of work into smaller chunks; works with the team to drive execution through to delivery.

  • Communication - Adjust communication method to audience and keep management advised.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or other equivalent role.

  • 3+ years of experience with the ability to influence, lead, and/or collaborate across multiple technical and product teams

  • 3+ years experience in an infrastructure or continuous delivery role

Other Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent

  • Experience and thought leadership in SDLC, CI/CD and deployment patterns

  • Experience building and running distributed systems at scale in production

  • Knowledge of standard methodologies related to security, performance, and disaster recovery

  • Experience defining SLIs and SLOs for distributed production systems

  • Experience with automation (eg. GitOps) tools and observability tooling and instrumentation (eg OpenTelemetry and Grafana)

  • Demonstrated ability working in multi-functional teams and comfortable working in a "startup" environment (i.e., fast paced, small teams, open questions).

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to clearly prioritize and articulate product requirements, as well as develop a vision and strategy for area of ownership

  • Ability to break down sophisticated concepts and distill requirements that meet customer needs

  • Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, outstanding communication and presentation skills, and validated ability to lead and deliver projects within a given timeline and budget.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location: USA.CO.Boulder

Primary Location Base Pay Range: $144,000 USD - $216,000 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $136,800 USD - $246,000 USD
