Senior Technical Product Manager

• Helping irrigated farmers in Nebraska, USA to manage water more efficiently and sustainably to protect our water supply

What we are looking for:

We are seeking an adaptable and seasoned Senior Technical Product Manager who possesses the ability to not only manage but also build product software. This individual will play a pivotal role in the development process, bringing with them the agility and pace often found in startup environments. This position will report to the VP of Product, and should be comfortable working or traveling to the Bay Area, with occasional travel to India.

What you will do:

• Take an active role in building product software and ensuring the pace and urgency necessary for an exceptional user experience.

• Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap to guide the engineering team while crafting detailed functional product requirements for UI/UX Designers and Engineers to ensure the development of high-quality, user-friendly features.

• Problem solver: connect the dots, make sense of data, and offer creative solutions to unblock the team to execute

• Work hand-in-hand with engineering, design, and data science teams to ensure the timely delivery of features and enhancements.

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of API integrations for third-party systems and platforms.

• Ensure ease of use and high quality in the Web and Mobile apps. Partner with QA teams to uphold product quality standards and meet user requirements.

• Create comprehensive technical documentation, user manuals, and product guidelines.

• Establish mechanisms to gather feedback from end-users and iterate on product features accordingly.

• Collaborate with product marketing, marketing, and sales teams for product launches and promotional activities.

• Driven by Results: Excel in executing tasks and meeting deadlines, consistently delivering on commitments and ensuring projects reach successful completion with precision and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AgTech, or related fields.

• 8+ years of experience in product management, preferably in mobile and web app development.

• Technical proficiency in mobile and web app development and tools.

• Experience working in startup environments, demonstrating agility, flexibility, and a sense of urgency.

• Ability to adapt to different time zones for effective collaboration with global teams.

• Experience in hardware devices is a plus.

• Familiarity with data modeling for data-heavy products is highly beneficial.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

• Capability to clearly and concisely document product requirements and collaterals.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.

• Ability to travel up to 30%, both domestic and international.
