This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Technical Data Analyst who is passionate about data in all areas of the business to take the controls and lead reporting & analytics technical design and delivery. Reporting directly into the VP of Technology, the ideal candidate will have a solid background performing eCommerce data analysis in a CPG or Retail environment with data design as a driver for best-in-class outcomes. This candidate will have the confidence and desire to build connections throughout the business, and the design control and influence within the Technology team to build bridges for scalability and sustainability. This is a critical role in building our enterprise data warehouse, our analytics capability and, as a key result, our overall performance as a business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with key analysts and functional leads across the business to document and understand their project objectives

  • Accept and review new requests and compare to existing solutions and the enterprise data model for feasibility and estimated time to complete

  • Draft recommended solutions in the form of data tables, reports, visualizations, and notes taken during the discovery process in an effort to drive decision-making to an approved design

  • Actively manage all reporting and analytics projects, requests, and inquiries

  • Build and maintain standards for metrics, filters, and master data in a centralized repository; ensure that these standards are consistently applied to all dashboards, reports, ad-hoc requests, and self-service BI architectures

  • Support the discovery of new data sources and the overall design of the enterprise data warehouse

  • Act as a conduit between business analysts and data architects to manage change and preserve data quality

  • Proactively ensure that published dashboards are constantly updated and accurate

  • Establish a centralized service desk for direct feedback and manage issue resolution

  • Serve as the key analytics partner on cross-company demand initiatives

  • Manage the Tableau Online reporting environment


  • 5+ years as a Data Analyst working closely with Data Architects to deliver high-value, end-end solutions

  • Must have experience analyzing eCommerce & CRM data in a CPG or Retail environment

  • Must have developer skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau (recommended), Data Studio or Looker

  • Must have solid experience with SQL and relational database architecture

  • Experience with ERP Financial and Supply Chain data is highly desirable

  • Ability to present technical concepts/analyses to a non-technical audience

  • Ability to extract, analyze and model relevant data from various data sources

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The PDG Operations team works closely with Compliance, Commissions, and other Producer Value Stream teams to optimize data solutions in support of new solutions being built for our broker/ producer partners. The goal of the team is to provide accurate information via "Broker Profiles" and "Client Profiles" that is used by and visible to internal and external partners. This role will be responsible for reviewing records in the Master Data Management (MDM) tool (Reltio) researching potential duplicates, collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The right candidate must have general business knowledge of Sales processes at Cigna, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a collaborative nature. Responsibilities This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate profiles for individuals and organizations in the Producer MDM tool by: * · Reviewing profiles within the Producer MDM tool * · Matching and merging records to create a single "Broker Profile" for each individual and organization in the tool * · Editing records in the MDM tool (Reltio) * · Performing any other necessary workflow process steps * · Research profile information in other Cigna systems as needed * · Supporting development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) e.g. for editing and terming records in the MDM tool * · Supporting the build-out of the PDM Operations team (including developing new processes, new workflows) as needed * · Responding to inquiries from producers about Broker Profile information visible on the Broker Portal Skills * · 3 + years broad employee benefits is required (health, life, disability, voluntary benefits) * · Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required * · Experience with Sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processes is required * · Experience using Salesforce is a huge plus * · Experience with master data management, data governance, master data management is a huge plus * · Exposure to Compliance processes is highly desired * · Experience with workflow optimization is a plus * · Experience working with brokers and consultants is a plus About Cigna Cigna Corporation (NYSE: CI) is a global health service company dedicated to improving the health, well-being and peace of mind of those we serve.
