Under the supervision of the Director Cyber Security, the Cyber Threat Analyst will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of JMC information and data assets.

  • Responsibilites will include researching, identifying and resolving cyber security issues by using appropriate tools to ensure security incidents are resolved effectively.

  • Actively participate in the implementation and maintaining of security procedures and processes to ensure adequate protection of information and data assets.

  • Will work to proactively research new threats and establish trends and patterns among existing attacks to help predict future risks.

  • Occasional need to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays in support of incidents or other security events.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or Information Systems or equivalent working experience in the field

  • Minimum two years demonstrated experience working in a security-oriented role

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of core cyber security concepts and CIA Triad

  • Critical thinking in cyber security risk analysis or similar relevant area of focus

  • Cyber security incident response and investigation experience

  • Forensic analysis experience either at the host, network, or both

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • CISSP, CEH, CHFI, SANS GIAC certifications or Security+ is a plus

  • Experience with PowerShell and Python is a plus

The Security Engineer will be an active participant in developing and adhering to operational and change management policies as it relates to the cyber security. Responsibilities will include providing technical hardware and software support, maintenance and troubleshooting of systems and services, WAN/LAN network devices. * Under the supervision of the Director of Cyber Security, the Sr. Security Engineer is responsible for safeguarding network and data security on and off-premises. * Interacts with management, technical and program staff as well as functional users and 3rd party vendors to provide network security support for the infrastructure, systems, and applications. * Engages in continuous learning and stays well informed of existing and emerging threats, tools, and technologies. * Seeks to maintain stable, efficient, and effective availability and operations of Jupiter Medical Systems data while promoting security. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or Information Systems or equivalent working experience in the field * 4+ years of demonstrated experience security analysis and developing/implementing security controls. * 2+ years on a Security Operations team, with experience coordinating responses to security incidents. * CISSP, CEH, CHFI, SANS GIAC certifications or Security+ is a plus. * Experience with PowerShell and Python is a plus. * Healthcare IT experience preferred. * Critical thinking in cyber security risk analysis or similar relevant area of focus. * In-depth knowledge of modern security technologies such as next-generation firewalls, SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS and vulnerability management tools. * Self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment. * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of core cyber security concepts and CIA Triad. * Ability to create accurate diagrams and documentation for design and planning. * Experience leading and participating in technology-oriented initiatives and projects. * Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office. * Must be able to work nonstandard hours, nights, weekends and/or holidays when needed.
