This role is responsible for bringing technical expertise to Actuarial in order to drive automation of workflows, processes and data analysis efforts. It is expected that the individual is aware of and possesses the technical aptitude to learn technical solution development best practices, and stay current on new technology trends and developments which can benefit Actuarial.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining technical solutions with a core focus on SQL, Azure Databricks, PowerBI, and the Microsoft Power Suite of automation products.

• Collaborate with team members to clarify and validate data requirements and business objectives

• Deliver various documentation and knowledge transfer plans to hand off implemented software solution to end user community to enable change management

• Participate with cross functional project teams in line with agile principles, potentially outside Actuarial

• Develop solutions utilizing document and approved change control procedures

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in area of expertise through proactive research and continuing education so as to achieve functional objectives

• Provide technical expertise, knowledge, and insight to help Actuarial improve performance, grow by solving problems and finding new and better ways of doing things

Education

• Undergraduate degree or higher required

Work Experience/Skill Set

• Experience with highly transactional financial and/or insurance datasets with a core focus on reporting and trend analysis within PowerBI

• Experience with producing both dashboards creating measure with complex DAX as well as paginated, structured reporting

• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel for complex operations

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The salary for the Sr. Technical Analyst, Actuarial Data Operations position is $70,000 - $90,000 with a 25% bonus potential.
