We are seeking Senior Tech Lead / Master Data Engineers who will be a part of a team that's building new analytical and machine learning tools and frameworks to exploit advantages in the latest developments in cloud computing. This role will be a hands-on individual contributor within our Auto Loans organization, operating in our innovation division (The Garage) along with like-minded knowledge leaders to tackle our hardest problems, establishing patterns, collaborating across multiple teams and lines of business including enterprise architecture, to push the boundaries of our data ecosystem enabling new use cases and democratizing the data including machine learning.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate and contribute to the data architecture standards and governance process including best practices & patterns

  • Work on proof of concepts ranging from new and upcoming databases to warehousing including big data ecosystem and related tooling

  • Work with a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems

  • Utilize programming languages like Java, Scala/Python and Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases and Cloud based data warehousing services such as Snowflake

  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community

  • Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment

  • Perform unit tests and conducting reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 8 years of enterprise experience in application development with Java and Spark

  • At least 6 years of enterprise experience with Big Data technologies (Cassandra, HBase, Spark, Hadoop, HDFS or MongoDB)

  • At least 4 years of enterprise Public Cloud experience

  • At least 2 years of enterprise architecture and design experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • 4+ years with Python and Scala

  • 2+ years of enterprise experience with operational databases (Postgres), including transactionality, replication and change data capture

  • 2+ years enterprise experience with data ecosystems including data quality, lineage and warehousing

  • 2+ year experience working on streaming data applications (Spark Streaming, Kafka, Kinesis, and Flink)

  • 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS infrastructure

  • AWS Certification

Primary Responsibilities: This leader will reside within the Enterprise Business Process Management Process Definition Architecture capability team and will be responsible for translating business objectives and priorities into actionable strategies while identifying appropriate stakeholders to design and manage strategic initiatives. This leader will need extensive knowledge in building business architecture to drive holistic, multidimensional business views of business capabilities, E2E value delivery, information and organizational structure with experience on developing enterprise blueprint that provides a common understanding of the organization.
