POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Company is looking for a dynamic individual to head the Group Tax function, under the supervision of the Director of Business Administration. The individual must be organized, self-starter and able to work independently. This position is located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Some international traveling required.

The Sr. Tax Manager will be will be responsible for:

  • Global Tax Planning (direct, indirect taxes, transfer pricing), special projects, tax consolidation and reporting;

  • Ensuring tax compliance and filing for all taxes globally (Latam, EU and US)

  • Supervise the preparation of tax provisions

  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of reporting tools for tax purposes

  • Provide expertise and support in all aspects of the tax field including analysis and interpretation of tax laws and regulations, communication to the rest of the tax team of tax law changes or developments

  • Deferred tax management and effective tax rate monitoring, tax losses management

  • Manage and support day-to-day tax affairs

  • Monitoring and minimizing tax risks & controversy globally:

  • Understand and consistently monitor all tax risks;

  • Support the Director of Business Administration in relationship with local tax authorities (Government relations)


Group Tax Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure Global BEPS compliance (including preparation of country-by-country reporting)

  • In charge of the coordination of the local transfer pricing reports globally

  • Under the supervision of the Director of Business Administration, manage tax contingency issues, judicial and administrative suits, administrative defenses, consulting, contracts and agreements, licenses

Staff management:

  • Lead the tax department in Latam (9 team members), Europe (2 team members) and US ( 1 team members). Direct supervision of the US Tax Manager, Latam Tax Manager and EU Tax Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 or more years' experience with federal, state and international tax planning and compliance experience

  • Significant tax accounting experience in multi-national environment

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting pronouncements

  • Strong knowledge of corporate income tax laws and administration

  • Excellent communications skills able to communicate with all levels of management

  • Team-oriented, motivated and professional

  • CPA or JD preferred. LLM or MBA a plus

This Senior Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with the JTP Commercial, Technology, and Finance teams along with JetBlue Airports, Inflight, Operations, Brand, and Product teams to provide a seamless customer experience for both current and future JTP customers. This Senior Analyst is knowledgeable about the JTP portfolio of travel products. This individual will support crafting a strategic vision, building an execution plan, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the JTP customer experience and drive incremental business. The preferred candidate will have experience developing strategic plans and then working across internal and external teams to implement game-changing initiatives. The Senior Analyst will research and distill thought leadership and conduct analyses to create an exceptional travel experience, supporting the overall goals of the JTP team. Essential Responsibilities * Support crafting an innovative strategic vision to enhance the JTP customer experience throughout the travel experience, including departure/arrival, at the airport, in-destination, with hotel/car rentals, and where we might offer extended or premium services. * Develop project plans to implement strategic initiatives, manage internal and external stakeholders, track tasks, and complete action items. * Execute cross-functionally and quickly to implement, measure, and refine the customer experience initiatives. * Conduct industry and trend research and distill content into actionable recommendations for the Travel and Airport experience strategy. * Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on potential customer experiences or offerings to determine ROI and develop implementation recommendations. * Create and deliver compelling and persuasive presentations for senior leaders at JTP and JetBlue to communicate strategy, implementation and execution plans, and project post-mortems as needed. * Coordinate and maintain productive relationships with JetBlue departments along with local agencies and business partners at each airport and across destinations to achieve an exceptional customer experience. * Liaison with our JTP Customer Care team to identify and coordinate opportunities to provide excellent service and sell products to our customers. * Solve operational-related challenges related to airport and in-destination product/service fulfillment as needed. * Provide regular reporting and business insights into JTP customers' travel experience to drive changes to existing and new products. * Organize, facilitate, and document critical team and business partner meetings. * Execute other complex projects and duties as assigned. Minimum Experience and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, Liberal Arts, or related field. * Three (3) years of consulting, operations, product, strategy, or business development experience, or relevant coursework/experience. * Experience working in a fast-paced environment * Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite & Google Products. * Experience with both quantitative and qualitative business analysis (proficient in MS Excel) * Experience with the basics of project management (Gantt, task tracking, action item follow up) * Flexible and able to work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Available for up to 30% overnight travel between JetBlue support centers as well as business partner meetings across our network. * Self-motivated and flexible in adapting to a constantly changing environment. * Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to peers and department leaders. * Effective research skills including the ability to analyze information and make determinations in accordance with company guidelines. * Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test. * Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located. Preferred Experience and Qualifications * Advanced degree. * Knowledge of airport operations and the travel industry. * Experience launching new customer experiences. * A deep passion for travel and hospitality.
