Our firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including real estate partnerships, S corps, C corps, trusts, and individuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning and consulting services, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.
This position requires a strong knowledge of CCH Prosystem FX Tax/CCH Axcess, financial statement analysis, and tax review procedures. Responsibilities: Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations, including real estate entities. Research and consult on various tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested.
Provide tax planning and consulting to our firm’s high net worth clients for estate, wills and trusts, business activities, investments, and other matters. Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related issues, and make tax recommendations. Participate in client meetings and collaborate with the tax team to prepare and deliver the final product to the client.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law. Handle routine client tax questions and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.
Work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously in a team-oriented environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s Degree or CPA certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a heavy concentration in tax services. Proficiency in CCH Prosystem FX Tax/CCH Axcess. Strong experience in real estate tax and real estate partnerships.
Experience with S corp, C corp, trust, and individual tax returns. Strong skills in reviewing financial statements and tax reviews. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and budgets. Ability to work well in a team environment and train staff. Ability to foster and maintain professional and productive relationships with clients.
