Willis Towers Watson is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its Tax Department in the Philadelphia office as a Tax Analyst to assist with direct corporate tax matters in support of the quarterly and year end close processes with input into refining the end to end processes utilized. The ideal candidate will have a good mix of tax technology and tax technical skills. The tax practice heavily leverages tax technology, primarily OneSource. This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to work directly with a number of different functions within Finance including Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury and General Accounting.

The Role

  • Assist in the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual Consolidated Income Tax Provision

  • Assist in the preparation of FIN48 accrual

  • Analyze and review tax balance sheet accounts

  • Ability to perform tax technical research and apply to given facts

  • Support Key Audit relationships

  • Support SOX Testing & Compliance

The Requirements

  • 3-5 years accounting experience

  • BS in Accountancy, Master's Degree in Accounting, Tax or IT preferred

  • ASC740 income tax accounting experience

  • Certified Public Accountant or in progress

  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications including Excel

  • Oracle applications, HFM experience a plus

  • Experience in OneSource Tax Provision Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented with strong problem solving and organization skills

  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills

A Senior Tax Analyst serves as an expert analyst with responsibility for performing significant technical, analytical, and evaluative staff work. You will provide coordination in the identification, development, and resolution of program issues that affect the operating units within the Business Division assigned.
