Role Overview

Be part of a small state and local tax (SALT) team working together to ensure the SS&C companies comply with all state and local sales, use, and property tax laws. Interface with all areas of Corporate Finance to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance. Position will also assist in the management of all external SALT audits.

Responsibilities

Responsible for state and local sales, use, and property tax compliance for all SS&C companies. Assist in managing state and local tax audits.

Responsible for maintaining the sales tax modules of internal billing systems to ensure proper billing and collection of sales tax. Ensure compliance with local business license requirements. Reconciliation of tax liability accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master's degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

  • Experience using MS Excel and MS Word

  • Effectively self-manage workload to meet strict deadlines

A Senior Tax Analyst serves as an expert analyst with responsibility for performing significant technical, analytical, and evaluative staff work. Conduct Business Reviews of field and headquarters offices, serve on task forces or study groups, and perform independent analyses of area or nationwide program operations. * Comprehensively plan, analyzes, determines cost/benefit relationships, and coordinates a variety of functions, operations, teams, or interfacing administrative systems. * Independently study complex problems facing operating unit functions or those of particular concern within specialized areas of the organization. * Analyze assigned program area(s) to discern trends in program delivery.
