An innovative and unique Banker's Hill CPA/consulting firm has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated CPA. We are searching for a proactive self-starter with a minimum of 3 years extensive tax experience with the ability to relate well in an environment which specializes in high net worth family groups and their related businesses.



Job Description:

As a Senior Consultant at Heyman & Associates, Inc. you must be motivated, talented, and enthusiastic with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience. We are looking for candidates with working knowledge and experience in compliance and research methods for tax issues.

  • Preparation and review of business tax returns including forms 1120, 1120S and 1065 (990 experience a plus)
  • Preparation and review of individual/trust tax returns
  • Preparation and review of financial statements
  • Assist tax manager as needed
  • Mentor and train tax staff
  • Manage the tax processes
  • Supervise accounting staff

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant
  • Teamwork and collaboration a must
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of Lacerte Tax Software and Thomson Reuters Research preferable.
  • Experience reviewing the work of other staff preferred
  • QuickBooks proficiency
  • Bachelors in accounting required
  • 3 years plus of public accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Summary: The Senior International Tax Accountant role will be critical to the success of the Tax Department and will support the rapid growth of our business and move from a loss company to profitability. Reporting to the Director of Tax, the Senior International Tax Accountant will support the Director of Tax in all areas of international taxation, including provision, compliance, planning, and transfer pricing. This role is the first international tax hire for DexCom and will be highly visible to the organization as we develop and implement our global tax structure and transfer pricing policies. We expect to expand the Tax Department over the next few years in proportion to the expanding complexity of the business. The ideal candidate would be an experienced senior associate at a Big 4 firm looking to transition to industry and grow into a manager role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist in development and maintenance of DexCom's global tax structure. * Analyze international tax law changes of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 including BEAT, GILTI, and FDII, and keep abreast of new guidance. * Review the ASC 740 tax provision computations for non-US entities. * Prepare Forms 5471, 8865, and related US tax compliance forms, statements and disclosures for inclusion in the federal consolidated return. * Manage the local country tax compliance by third party firms and assist as necessary. * Coordinate with external advisors to prepare quarterly transfer pricing calculations and assist with documentation. * Maintain a due date tracker and ensure all international US and non-US filing deadlines are met. * Determine proper treatment and documentation of international transactions in US tax returns. * Provide tax support for international acquisitions. * Assist in the development of tax planning initiatives/strategies and recommendations to ensure the most effective tax position and cash impact. * Summarize and present tax information to various functions. * Proactively establish strong relationships with all key stakeholders, including operations and finance management, as well as external tax advisors. Understand, anticipate and balance the competing objectives of stakeholders. * Lead or participate in process improvement activities to redesign, standardize and automate tax accounting and reporting processes. * Maintain strong relationship with external auditor. Interface with outside tax consultants (public accounting and legal tax counsel) and other professional associates in the exchange of tax information. Required Qualifications: * 3-4 years of experience * Big 4 experience preferred * Experience with corporate tax software and on-line tax research products * Knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Effective communication, analytical, research and negotiation skills * Ability to work and act independently * Ability to perform basic analysis and interpret and evaluate various precedents and data * Ability to meet deadline Preferred Qualifications: * CPA and/or JD preferred Education Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area * Master's Degree in Taxation or LLM preferred Travel Required: * 0 – 24% Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
