Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description Job Description Walton Rahal CPAs is a boutique CPA firm located in Boca Raton, FL looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to grow with our firm. We have been serving the South Florida community for over 40 years.

Our firm focuses on closely held businesses and their owners and the tax preparation and planning for these individuals. We are a small firm that all work closely with one another and with our clients. Qualifications · 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field · Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred · Cross-border experience helpful · 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field · CPA license/CPA license track preferred but not required Responsibilities · Manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary · Preparation of tax work for Individuals, Partnerships, S and C Corporations, Trusts & Estates, both federal and various state jurisdictions. · Perform tax research · Demonstrate understanding of the client’s business including analysis and planning of client engagements · Review associates’ tax work and provide constructive review points · Train and mentor associate staff · May be involved in the client billing process by assisting Partners · Identify and begin to develop knowledge in selected specialty practice · Participate in practice development activities such as membership in FICPA · Execute administrative duties as assigned Benefits · Performance based bonuses · Overtime not mandatory · Paid time off (PTO) · Retirement plan match · Employer profit-sharing · Health/Dental/Vision insurance · Monday-Friday 7.5 hour shifts
