Senior Tax Accountant - Full-Time

Job Description Job Description Stoops & Company is a referral-only tax accounting firm offering a broad range of services including tax preparation, audit representation, tax planning and advisory throughout the year for our individual and business clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant for our Upper East Side Manhattan office who has excellent client service and communication skills.

You will be responsible for preparation of personal (individual, trust, estate, gift tax, multi-state, non-resident, foreign information returns) and business (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership) tax returns. The Senior Tax Accountant will receive a portfolio of existing clients for which you will be the primary contact. Stoops & Company has a team-oriented, flat organizational structure.

Our firm’s approach is fast-paced, responsive, and entrepreneurial; you will never be bored Responsibilities: Prepare complex tax returns. Manage client relationships including tax preparation and year-round advisory.

Respond to inquiries from the IRS and tax authorities. Perform tax research to resolve issues. Stay up-to-date on the latest tax codes and provide knowledge sharing with staff.

Become an expert in specific areas. Recognize opportunities to enhance the client experience, provide additional services and improve internal processes.
