We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant on our Tax Services team in Nashville, TN. The Sr. Tax Accountant is primarily responsible for preparing more complex tax returns, assisting in the preparation of provision workpapers, researching tax issues, and maintaining tax calendars and due date listings.
The Senior Tax Accountant role is offered on a Remote Centric Hybrid basis. We expect the Sr. Tax Accountant to primarily work from home. You may be required to come to the office from time to time for meetings.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES of a SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT:
Prepare more complex federal, state, and local partnership tax returns.
Prepare federal and state tax returns for corporate subsidiaries.
Process quarterly estimated payments and extensions.
Proactively interact with other departments and internal staff to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Assist in the K-1 distribution process.
Stay current on changing federal, state, and local tax laws.
Assist in preparing tax provision schedules.
Organize and analyze data using Excel.
Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision is as secure as possible.
Performs other job-related duties as necessary.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited College or University in Accounting.
2+ years' professional experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs and tax software programs such as CorpTax or OneSource Income Tax; Oracle experience a plus.
