Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is a large Gov Con seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. This position will assist with ASC 740 tax provision, federal and state income tax and other taxes. 

This is a 100% remote opportunity. 

Experience with OneSource software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the Quarterly and Annual Tax Provision process, including: data collection (via accounting system and other teams), maintenance of calculations/reports in OneSource Tax Provision software, and preparation of relevant calculations/disclosures/footnotes in accordance with ASC 740.
• Assist in the review of Federal & State Income Tax Returns, as well as managing the data/information flow to outside consultants to meet relevant filing deadlines, and preparation/review of Estimated & Extension Tax Payments.
• Manage the compliance process associated with Other Taxes applicable to the business, including data collection, timely return filing, and the providing guidance to other teams on applicability of exemption opportunities.
• Assist with the successful resolution of any Tax Audits or Tax Notices the company receives, including researching identified issues and interfacing or coordinating with Tax Authority Agents to resolve disputes efficiently & effectively.
• Collaborate with other teams internally on special projects; such as: M&A Transactions, Stock Compensation, Legal Entity Restructuring/Streamlining, Method Changes, Tax Credits & Incentives, Software Implementations, and more.
• Evaluate current processes & tools to enhance efficiency/accuracy.
• Maintain Tax Compliance calendar and detailed documentation of relevant Tax Accounts in the General Ledger, as well as items that support tax calculations or positions taken for reporting purposes.
