PXP is looking for a talented Senior Talent Manager.

Job Description

PXP is looking for an in-house expert on talent contracts (both SAG/AFTRA and non-union), talent estimates, negotiations, contracts, and rights and clearance, for use on TV, Digital Media, Industrial, Theatrical, Print and Audio. This position interacts with many departments - Production, Creative, Account, Media, Business Management and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in project scoping discussions, providing Producers and Client teams with accurate estimates for talent session fees, usage, residuals, and all other talent related costs of production

• Work with Media teams to obtain the necessary information for estimating talent reuse,

• Manage annual residual budgets for each account; approve and process talent invoices

• Advise Agency teams and Clients on union rules, regulations and best practices

• Assist Producers with drafting Casting Specs that cater to individual project needs

• Work with our 3rd party Signatory, CMC, to inform them about all upcoming SAG projects in advance; share all required materials with CMC to be compliant with the LOA

• Draft Talent Contracts (for union & non union shoots); prepare all talent paperwork for shoots & include all required payment and tax forms for talent to complete

• Review completed talent paperwork; draft and submit session reports with payment instructions to ER for processing

• Review creative materials and advise Agency teams on talent, copyright and intellectual property issues (in tandem with Agency legal counsel)

• Compile completion reports for all finished assets

• Organize and maintain up-to-date talent records on Agency shared servers and on ER's platform

• Monitor and manage holding fees as well as all talent and rights expirations on each account; flag expirations and upcoming holding fees to the team; assist with any renewals

• Manage all re-negotiation for talent (with ER)

• Work with Agency legal counsel on issues including contracts, updating releases, contract templates, risk assessment and indemnifications

• Assist Producers with drafting/reviewing Music Licenses

• Work with internal Finance from pre-bill through project completion

• Assist with Transfer of Rights documentation for incoming and outgoing Clients

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years-experience in a similar role

• Must be well versed in the SAG-AFTRA Commercial Contract

• Professional presentation and client facing skills

• Effective negotiation and conflict management skills

• Knowledge of Healthcare is a strong plus

• Exhibits integrity and trust

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $98,500 - $165,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
