Vanguard has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Talent Development Consultant who will provide strategic learning and development consultation to divisional leaders, global regions and HR Business Partners to identify learning and development needs.

In this role you will:

  • Develop, manage and execute learning strategies for Vanguard employees aligned to divisional and enterprise priorities.

  • Develop learning strategies that balance the needs of the employees and business and oversee the implementation of the strategies.

  • Present the Vanguard talent development story to divisional, external and internal business partners.

  • Consult with and influence divisional and internal business partners to demonstrate how effective strategies have added value, driven behaviors, and contribute to strong development outcomes.

  • Build deep relationships with the HR leadership team and senior leaders across the company.

  • Be a trusted advisor to talent teams on efforts related to leadership and talent development across the enterprise.

  • Drive innovation and think creatively to set and implement a strategy.

  • Access, analyze and identify specific business priorities and associated development needs.

  • Develop and maintain client relationships and contacts with key Vanguard divisional clients, global regions and HR partners to understand business strategies for influencing and recommending best-in-class learning solutions.

  • Lead the development of enterprise wide and divisional wide learning strategies.

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and measurement through Scrum teams (by setting clear goals and providing feedback) of high quality learning solutions to meet the performance objectives as defined by the learning strategy.

  • Identify, analyze and prepare key learning metrics to effectively evaluate and monitor the impact of learning and development initiatives.

  • Remain current on industry learning and development tools, techniques, strategies and practices in order to provide relevant, informed consultative advice to clients.

  • Maintain strong business acumen and ongoing awareness of business initiatives.

We provide relevant, smart, and accessible solutions to develop employee capabilities in support of business goals. Key interactions include working with HR Talent Development teams, HR Business Partners, divisional contacts and external vendors.

What it takes:

  • Undergraduate degree (Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred) or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Minimum of five years related business experience. Prior management/supervisory experience preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.

  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

  • Business acumen.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives.

  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills.

This position will have the opportunity to help Banking organizations transform their front to back office processes, including operations, IT, compliance, Finance, Treasury and Risk, and ultimately enhance the customer's experience. This position will be based in New York City or Charlotte and work with the small, medium and the largest financial institutions in the US. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Participate and/or lead project workstreams or large and complex transformation initiatives across different functions such as Loan Ops, IT, Finance, Compliance, Data Offices, and other upstream and downstream teams * Summarize and present findings to clients * Collaborate with engagement teams to deliver high-quality work products * Apply strategic and critical thinking to develop recommendations that address client challenges * Manage team of resources to ensure deliverables are provided on time, on budget and within scope * Conduct research on corporate banking, lending and other commercial banking topics and be an activate participant in developing insight articles * Participate and/or lead business development and proposal efforts * Knowledge of and familiarity with data model, data dictionary, data sourcing, data mapping * Ability to write test cases, perform testing and build test plans are a plus * Work closely with senior project sponsors, key business users and technology to define scope and business requirements * Create BRDs and or FSDs to support regulatory requirements for a variety of global projects that will allow for accurate and timely data feeds to data warehouses and regulatory reports.
