We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer at our TCG facility in Tewksbury, MA. This position is responsible for directly supporting one of TCG's most strategic partners with their integration of TCG's data link software product, LinkPRO. In addition to supporting the strategic partner, the Senior Systems Engineer will evolve into a traditional software systems engineer role to include development of system level requirements, system level tests and customer interaction and support.
Establish a detailed understanding of the TCG LinkPRO software architecture as it applies to the strategic customer implementation
Develop an comparable software test environment to strategic customer in order to efficiently duplicate customer questions and software issues
Lead quarterly technical interchange meetings with customer to include review of in process software development activity, outstanding software issues and software development roadmap with specific focus on impact to the customer
Quickly respond to software questions and issues reported by strategic partner while coordinating efficiently with TCG Technical Support team
Review and update product documentation such as LinkPRO Interface Control Document
Develop deep understanding of various tactical data link standards such as MIL-STD-6016, MIL-STD-3011, STANAG 5522, MIL-STD-6017.
Develop deep understanding of various tactical data link radios especially Link 16 radios such as MIDS JTRS.
Write system level requirements derived from customer requirements and various tactical data link standards.
Present system level technical data to software engineering staff via most effective means such as briefings, demonstrations, white papers and white board sessions.
Reviews software requirements, design, acceptance test plan, and acceptance test procedure documents
Participates in the development and review of TCG's Engineering documentation
Assists with resolution of system issues and problems reported by TCG's customers
Assists with duplication and test of Tech Support issues and System Trouble Reports (STRs)
5 years of software systems experience with military data links/ especially Link 16, Link 11, Link 22 and/or VMF
Experience with both Windows and Linux target environments
Experience with analysis tools such as military communications bus protocol analyzers, Ethernet packet capture tools and development of test tools to aid in data analysis
Ability to evaluate the function, performance, and usability/suitability of integrated software components
Development and execution of repeatable subsystem and system level tests
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Ability to focus on and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail and organization
Must be an effective communicator and a strong collaborator
Willingness to travel to customer locations approximately 10-20%
U.S. Citizen (for clearance)
BSCS or related education
