Systems Engineer Requirements Management
This position is responsible for management, maintenance and deployment of the Requirements Management System, which includes the Requirements Management process and the requirements database, Cognition Cockpit. The position enables the ET DRM strategy and tactics to achieve desired business results or Product Development related to product quality/reliability, performance, cost and timing. The principal tactics employed by the incumbent include developing and managing feature development within the Cockpit environment enabling Product Development Excellence. This position will work with Product Development organizations at multiple sites to develop new features within Cognition Cockpit. Additionally, this position will lead refinement of processes related to Requirements, Risk and Test Management, integrating best practices of Systems Engineering approaches while ensuring compliance with applicable medical device regulations.

A Day in the Life
Serve as a Requirements Engineering subject matter expert and primary manager of the Cognition Cockpit Requirements Tool database.
Interface with staff across sites to identify new functionality, features, and enhancements to the current system.
Manage new feature deployment using Agile methods and provide schedule status reports on project activities.
Based on user inputs, design, develop and deliver new features, enhancements or bug fixes thru creation of new or modifications to existing code, User Interfaces, etc.
Troubleshoot & debug existing code when issues are identified by users and release timely updates.
Responsible for managing and maintaining users, user groups and privileging schema within the Cockpit environment.
Identify and implement process and productivity improvements.
Prepare, conduct and manage validation testing activities of new feature releases coordinating with the Corporate Cockpit team in compliance with all applicable Corporate IT validation processes.
Lead improvements of organizational processes for Requirements, Risk and Test Management, integrating best practices of industry, System and Requirements Engineering principles.
Preparing documentation and delivery of training as needed.
All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.
Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Travel requirement: 20-30%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Previous back-end experience coding in Cognition Cockpit ASE or general scripting experience
Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong leadership skills and mentoring capabilities.
Software development experience in the medical industry or other regulated industry.
Experience developing GUI applications.
Proficiency in modern, iterative software design processes and development practices including Agile and Test-Driven development in medical device environment.
Project management skills, including planning, estimation and requirements management.
Design for Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or other Six Sigma discipline such as LEAN
Medical device product development experience and a strong understanding of FDA and IEC standards.
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer or equivalent certification.
