Do you have a strong Windows and Virtualization background, and are looking for contract work? This King of Prussia software company is looking for someone to come in and be a part of a large virtualization to cloud migration project. Currently, companies are looking to make these transitions sooner than later, and most infrastructures function more fluently in the cloud. This organization sees the potential they can operate at by migrating their whole infrastructure to Azure.

The ideal person will be someone that is quite experienced with VMware and Azure. Migration experience would be great to have, but not an absolute necessity. This is a higher level position, so you'll need to have had a quite a few years of VMware exposure. Builds from the ground up, maintaining, and migrating virtual servers will be a bulk of the work. Spinning up servers in the cloud and Azure AD will be equally important. If you're looking to keep your hands busy, this is a difficult role with high reward.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of VMware experience (VCP preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of Azure experience

  • Azure AD

  • Virtualization to Cloud Migration exposure

  • Group Policy

  • Windows Server 2012, 2016 (ideally 2019)

  • Office365

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • VCP

  • Microsoft Certifications

  • Azure Certifications

Responsibilities Qualifications As a Senior Manager, Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Systems Lead, working in R&D Portfolio Operations, you will be empowered to help strengthen and support global R&D project and portfolio operational capabilities. This is a key role in driving the advancement of the tools and systems supporting project management and portfolio excellence. The position will contribute to the strategic planning, tactical implementation, and on-going support and maintenance of PPM systems, while also contributing to the establishment of PM standards, methodologies and processes. The PPM Systems Lead will report into the Head of Portfolio Operations. * Enables project management and portfolio operations effectiveness through establishment and maintenance of best-in-class project and portfolio management (PPM) systems and tools, data quality standards, and reporting and dashboards. * Identifies opportunities for innovation and leads continuous improvement efforts for PPM systems and supporting processes. * Act as a change agent to articulate intent, drive awareness, and support communications and training to ensure effective adoption and utilization of system and process improvements. * Partners with internal customers (Leadership, global project/program managers, and Functions) and external service providers to deliver, operate, maintain, and support project and portfolio management solutions. * Utilizes strong project management, solution development, and data/system expertise to design and deliver valuable solutions in line with Portfolio Operations strategy and capabilities roadmap. * Develops and leads training sessions on specific PM topics related to systems, tools and underlying processes. * Collaborates with other members of Portfolio Operations and Project Management and partners with the Portfolio group and Functions to support portfolio performance tracking and reporting. * Supports and strengthens PM Community of Practice and PM competencies/skills training. * Contributes to the definition of project management methodologies and standards that govern project planning, execution, and reporting. * Provides technical mentorship and guidance to junior members. In some cases, may provide oversight or formal supervision of Project Operations Specialists or other systems support team members (e.g. Reporting Analyst). Education * Bachelor degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. * An advanced degree (MSc, PhD), PMP certification, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is a plus.
