Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community

Job Description

Work in an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environment to support a mission that Raytheon is on contract for. The candidate will analyze data and make recommendations to the customer based on that data to protect the health of the system. Also, the candidate will trend data from the system to avoid long term safety concerns. Testing the system and identifying anomalies are necessary skills to be successful in the position. The candidate must complete all Raytheon and customer training to remain in good standing with the company and government.

Required Skills:
6 or more years of system engineering experience.Experience working on a technical team of Systems Engineers and Analysts.Polished communication between co-workers and the customer.Candidate should know Microsoft products.Problem solving capability.Technical presentations to both internal and external customers.Participate in customer and program review presentations to provide status updates and work products.Ability to support off hours of work.Desired

  • Understanding of software concepts and can edit code of existing scripts.

  • Experience in an Operations & Maintenance environment.

  • Work in a team environment toward a common mission accomplishment.

  • Able to effectively perform multiple tasks and prioritize actions

  • Generation of formal analysis test reports for delivery to the customer

  • Performance predictions and analysis of data received from various platforms

  • Interface between members of the systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams

  • Experience with Linux/Unix preferred.

  • B.S. in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related discipline and 6 years or related experience or 14 years in lieu of a degree.

Primary engineer responsible for ensuring Block 3 Ground system design is implemented to efficiently execute mission operations. The successful candidate will join a team of four Block 3 primary engineers with a focus on the threads that support Collection Ground & Mission Framework. Throughout the Block 3 development these experts will work with the operations and acquisitions community to ensure the system is seamlessly integrated into operations and that problems are identified, prioritized and resolved to enable mission success. In addition to block 3 duties the successful candidate may participate in Chief Engineer projects and duties in support of day-to-day operations. This support will help the successful candidate identify and mitigate current issues with the future architecture. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
