Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description Job Description Senior Systems Engineer Responsibilities: Apply software upgrades, security patches, and maintenance for all systems.

Conduct advanced troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis on complex issues. Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, SAN, and change control processes. Continually evaluate the firm’s computer systems for overall health and performance, making appropriate recommendations.

Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of hardware inventory and configuration, software configuration, repair and maintenance history, and procedures. Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to core technologies and architecture to achieve higher performance, increased availability, and better security. Mentor IT staff and provide support to both attorneys and staff.

Travel to other regional offices as needed. Required Experience: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS.

Supporting and configuring technologies, e.g., Citrix XenApp/NetScaler. Managing enterprise backup and disaster recovery (DR). Microsoft Exchange/Outlook. VMware virtualization and enterprise storage technology.

Check Point firewall configuration and policy management. Disaster recovery (DR) experience, including replication, fail-over, and fail-back procedures. Document management system experience is a plus.

Required Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related specialty; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired certifications include Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNP, and VMware VCP.

Security-related industry certifications are a plus.
