In this role you will be a key member providing critical input for ICBM program requirements development, systems trade studies, and analyses, in Salt Lake City, Utah.Some of your day to day responsibilities will include: * Decomposing of CONOPS into technical artifacts, system-level DODAF views, and performance metrics * Development of architectural artifacts and design for major design reviews and working-groups * Define and document Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)* Work on a diverse team, in a process driven, high stress and fast paced environment * Daily management of many different tasks, with prioritizing to completion. * Being organized, disciplined, detail oriented, innovative, self-starter, results-oriented and willing to work with minimal supervision * Conduct specification analysis and flow-down for multiple hardware/software items.We are looking for someone with demonstrated successful team and relationship building skills across multiple organizational boundaries. You would be someone who identifies as a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills. This includes proven interpersonal skills with both experts and non-experts. You should also thrive in a dynamic, inter-disciplinary, environment.The anticipated program award date is second quarter 2019. This position will be located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah 84056. Put your years of experience into a future of excellence as you shape the future ICBM weapon system. The current ICBM system has been fielded since 1962 and has been upgraded in various stages over the life of the program as required to maintain system capability. There are multiple acquisition efforts underway or planned within ICBMs over the coming years including a new Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), which is developing the replacement for Minuteman III. SAIC is providing systems engineering support (Advisory & Assistance services) as part of a multi-command, multi-contractor team in support of major acquisition programs within ICBMs. SAIC is looking for a systems engineer with a background in one or more of the following: RF communications, wired and wireless networking, cybersecurity/ information assurance, communications security, cryptographic system integration, EMP hardened communication systems, command & control console design, communication system integration and test, nuclear surety, and software design. A background in major acquisition support is desired. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD with a great company that is growing. Position and pay commensurate with skills and experience.
