Senior Systems Engineer at Hidden Level

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Hidden Level, you will apply your skills to lead internal product development and customer integration and adoption activities. This will be achieved through the analysis and support of sensor systems at each stage in the product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Hidden Level, you can expect to...

Assist in the evolution and development of new cutting-edge sensor technology:

• Design and develop algorithms and analysis methods and tools for radar, direction finding, or other surveillance sensor systems.

• Experience using wireless communication protocols such as 802.11, 4G/LTE, Bluetooth, etc.

• Drive the derivation and documentation of system requirements using input from varying technical disciplines.

• Lead the development of system architectures for new hardware and software designs.

• Organize and participate in design and code reviews.

Play an active role in the verification and validation of hardware and software platforms:

• Plan and design live test events both internal and external in support of sensor performance validation.

• Provide hands-on in-field support for the test of surveillance sensor system performance.

• Develop methods and tools to analyze and evaluate radar and surveillance sensor system performance.

• Author test reports and draw data-driven conclusions and recommendations based on test results.

A successful candidate may have...

• Passion for technology and a team-focused mentality

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

• 5+ years of professional experience leading sensor design and development activities

• Extensive knowledge of:

• Radar and/or communication systems using software-defined radios, custom hardware, and/or other COTS devices.

• Working knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as 802.11, 4G/LTE, Bluetooth, etc. encompassing all layers of the Open Systems Interconnection model.

• Sensor performance modeling and simulation

• Digital signal processing

• Analytical programming platforms such as MATLAB or Python

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with the ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs.

This position has the ability to be remote, hybrid or on-site at our headquarters in Syracuse, NY.

Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $106,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.'s total compensation package for employees.
