Systems engineer will be responsible for day to day management of our cloud computing environment. This engineer will also be engaged in multiple simultaneous cloud computing projects including Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Storage Platforms and Amazon Web Services.
Responsible for design, configuration, implementation, and support for VoIP installations as necessary
Work with customer, vendors and technical teams to prospect and develop Cisco Unified Communications design, installation, and support opportunities
Maintaining an established work schedule and providing on-call assistance, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to telephony technologies, video conferencing, network topology, network equipment, and configuration(s). Ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of environments.
Attend and actively contribute to technical staff meetings
Participate in occasional after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability
Provide timely and accurate status updates to customer contacts and management
Conduct user training as required
Provide level 3 Support for problems identified within systems. Will act as an escalation for Level 1 and Level 2 support.
Working knowledge of QoS implementation and support operations for network-based phone systems, monitoring technologies as they relate to IP telephony
5+ years' experience with VOIP and telephony technologies at an enterprise-level and participated in its implementation and support
5+ years' experience with Cisco Unified Communications platforms
5+ years' experience maintaining network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, QoS service implementation, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems
Experience with Call Manager, Unity/Unity Connections, and Unified Contact Center
Experience on Cisco CUBE ASR and ISR's for SIP Trunking with Service Providers
Experience with Enhanced 911, Cisco Emergency Responder
Experience with advanced Cisco router/switch configuration
Understanding of UC & Network Protocols: SIP, MGCP, ISDN, DHCP, VLAN, CDP, LLDP
Working knowledge of UC Monitoring Tools: Real time Monitoring Tools & Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
Conditions of Employment
Cisco certification CCNP Voice preferred
VMWare configuration experience preferred
Proficient at customer knowledge transfer and documentation
Strong attention to detail in regard to project planning and documentation
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Ability to apply judgment, implement solutions, and resolve conflicts, all in a multi-tasked environment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and with written documentation

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint computer programs
