Senior Systems Engineer

Based on experience, the Senior Systems Engineer will be a technical senior, part of a team responsible for the design, planning, and execution of server deployments, server migrations, system upgrades, and research and development for Teletrac Navmans global Corporate IT infrastructure. Day to day duties will include solution design, as well as project planning and management; high-level technical assistance in production IT environments; technical consultation with senior management and the writing of documentation and project plans.
Provide technical leadership to IT Operations team
Design, plan and implement multi-month-long projects
Triage work based on current workload and business requirements
Rapid deployments of Windows Server and Windows 10
Monitoring and Maintenance of Server and Network infrastructure
Deployment, maintenance and upgrade of the Microsoft System Center infrastructure
Design and deployment of system monitoring and maintenance solutions
Design and deployment of file, print, messaging and other applications and solutions
Design and deployment of private cloud environments
Design and deployment of local and wide-area networks
Design and deployment of VoIP networks and systems
Management and implementation of cloud services in platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and Office 365
Management and maintenance of the company-wide Active Directory environment.
Train junior engineers and IT support staff on new implementation and technologies
Five years of experience in the following areas:
Server and LAN management working in corporate IT environment
A wide range of Microsoft products, including production experience with contemporary versions of Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server and Active Directory
The Microsoft System Center suite of products in production environments, especially System Center Configuration Manager
Management of enterprise-grade backup systems
Management of enterprise-grade Anti-Virus systems
Networking environments, including configuration and management of Cisco switches, routers, and ASA security devices
Experience working with Office 365 including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Skype for Business Online.
Comfortable with Linux, specifically network-based Linux commands
Project management experience
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written skills
Excellent organizational skills
The ability to interface with corporate management in a project management environment
Five years of experience working in a technical support environment
CCNA or CCNP certification
Undergraduate degree in four-year college
The ability to write detailed design and technical documentation
