Position Description:

Automates tasks and simplifies systems configuration using PowerShell. Deploys applications and design systems architecture using Azure. Develops systems results and contributes to the prioritization of work in an Agile environment. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with systems development, integration, and the adoption of Cloud technologies and platforms.

  • Assesses performance data and determines system bottlenecks.

  • Engineers, sizes, installs, configures, and maintains mission critical applications and systems.

  • Represents Agile transformations -- deployment of collaboration tools in support of digitization of services.

  • Performs data collection and reporting using APIs.

  • Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need.

  • Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining collaboration platforms -- Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AD, and Office 365 hosted applications and solutions.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining collaboration platforms -- Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AD, and Office 365 hosted applications and solutions.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") managing and automating code, and configurating deployment of Enterprise Collaboration Platforms (Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AD, and Office 365 hosted applications) and solutions in Development, Test, and Production environments, using Jenkins, GIT and terraform.

  • DE designing and developing Enterprise Collaboration solutions (PowerApps, PowerBI, and Power Automate) with automated scheduled jobs, using Jenkins and Docker; gathering status logs in reporting tools, using Jenkins and Docker; identifying bugs using Network tracer and Fiddler; and logging defects using JIRA.

  • DE developing solutions along the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), using Scrum and Kanban; and defining DevOps strategies -- creating and influencing long term team technology processes, identifying appropriate toolsets for new processes, creating phased plans for migrating to new processes, and supporting development and operations to run seamlessly.

  • DE performing data collection and ad hoc reporting using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
