Senior Systems Analyst
Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 12-13 months
Participating in the full life cycle of a project, which includes identification of detailed system requirements, design, development, testing and implementation.
Acting as liaison between the business area and technical team, as well as the subject matter expert for specific domains within Single Family BTO
Writing system-level requirements per the selected methodology functional process models, user stories, software requirement specifications or provide peer reviews when other staff are writing them, provide tasks and day-to-day support to others on the analyst team
Analyzing business requirements to independently convert them into detailed system requirements and functional specifications
Reviewing technical designs to ensure accurate and complete translation of business requirements into detailed system level requirements
Prioritizing assignments and working independently to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets customer expectations
Providing input into proposed solutions, identify impacts, risks and issues, and work with technical and business staff to implement proposed solutions
Providing resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience
5-7 years work experience in Systems Analysis and Requirements Development (4+ years with a Master's Degree)
Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and validate the system requirements that support the business requirements for the systems supported
Experience with supporting project using SDLC Methodology and/or Agile Methodology in a highly regulated environment
Ability to lead multiple teams, projects, and initiatives
Ability to apply change management process and support fast-paced issue identification and resolution
Experience translating/explaining technical decisions/concepts into business terms
Ability to effectively work with both technical staff and business process owners
Strong analytical and process skills
Graduate degree or advanced studies
Experience with DOORS and Version One
Experience MS Office Tools and, UML, Visio and Axure
Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodologies
Knowledge of client role in the Mortgage Industry the Loan Purchase Business Process.
Experience writing users stories and acceptance criteria, detailed system level requirements, database look-up to perform source to target mapping, strong experience with data and data mapping, functional use cases, activity diagrams and wireframes.
Former client experience is a plus.
Knowledge of mortgage industry and mortgage terms is also a plus.
