Description:The new and growing Space Security business area of LM Space is looking for an experienced, energetic and dedicated Linux System Admin specialist to support and augment projects and programs in system development, design, integration and deployment using industry standards and technologies. The candidate will support a fast-growing set of systems, environments, servers and products which rely on Linux expertise. The selected candidate will become the Linux OS/compute environment subject matter expert for applicable programs. The programs supported will model agile implementation approaches and incorporate state of the art commercial best practices such as DevOps (automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, etc), distributed CM, and use modern development tools. The selected candidate will participate in progressing system capabilities from early tool selection and infrastructure design through site acceptance with a focus on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and cloud technologies. As a member of this high-performing group the selected candidate must be passionate about their trade, focused on mission and system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills.
Relevant Linux Sys Admin experience
Cloud / Server / Infrastructure Virtualization (Design, Support, Integration)
Linux System Infrastructure, Administration, Development and Maintenance
Cloud/Virtual Environment Setup, Config and Engineering
Networking and Hardware Knowledge
Experience with IT systems test, deployment, and/or configuration for enterprise applications/usage
PKI (or similar secure certificate technologies)
Scripting Languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
Windows Server/Systems Administration
VMWare or similar Virtualization technology
Datacenter Requirements, Install, Management Experience
Experience in DoD or Classified Systems a plus
Previous or Active Top Secret clearance a plus
