Senior Systems Accountant

Nouria Energy Corporation is a multi-generational family-owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator and car wash operator in New England. Our wholesale and retail fuel businesses are multi-branded, which includes Shell, Mobil, Irving, Sunoco, Gulf, Valero, Citgo, Phillips 66, Exxon, and multiple unbranded brands. Our wholesale operations supply branded and unbranded fuel to 300+ locations across New England and New York. We are ranked within the top 50 largest convenience store chains in the country, operating 150+ company-operated locations throughout New England and ranked within the top 10 largest car wash chains in the country

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR SYSTEMS ACCOUNTANT:

• Implementing and managing financial systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Analyzing and interpreting financial data to aid decision making processes

• Reviewing and enhancing financial system processes

• Working closely with other departments to align system improvements with wider business strategies

• Providing training and support to users on new and existing finance systems

• Assisting in the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as cash and accounts payable

• Collaborating with IT department to maximize system efficiencies

• Conducting regular system audits to ensure functionality and accuracy

• Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE SENIOR SYSTEMS ACCOUNTANT:

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Three to Five years experience

• Advanced IT skills, including SQL and Excel.

• Knowledge of ERP Systems.

• An understanding of financial controls and ability to develop workflows and controls of financial systems.

• Strong analytical, numeric, and critical reasoning skills capable of delivering practical solutions to complex problems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
