Engineering designs our next-generation hydrogen electric engines. Working across Hydrogen, Propulsion and Integration divisions, they solve technical problems and help decarbonize aviation by finding solutions for electric propulsion, hydrogen storage, fuel cell technology, power distribution, thermal management and more.

Requirements

The Senior System Test Engineer will support electric propulsion system verification test planning, execution, and analysis from within the EPS Systems and Test team

  • Author and revise engine ground and flight verification test plans, cases and procedures and compliance documentation in coordination with design and integration engineers.
  • Work as a focal for engine and hardware test to support the team’s development and execution of a successful certification approach.
  • Interface with test, certification, and design teams to ensure engine configuration and test procedures meet the necessary requirements.
  • Proactively communicate any test and hardware related issues to respond quickly to engine test learnings.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to team and program leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English (additional languages a plus).
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team

Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, standards, and certification processes
  • Part 33 Engine Test experience highly desirable
  • Experience in aviation systems engineering involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis, validation, and verification.
  • Proficiency in specifying test procedures and methodologies for aircraft propulsion systems.
  • Familiarity with ground and flight demonstration tests.
  • Excellent documentation skills with a focus on standardized methods of test documentation.
  • Knowledge of Software certification to DO178C and/or hardware certification to DO254.
  • Experience conducting environmental testing in accordance with DO-160G.

Pay Transparency Statement

The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $150,000. In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:

💰 Bonus: Annual discretionary bonuses.

👵🏽 Retirement: Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) Plan, with up to a 4% matching

👩🏽‍⚕️ Health Insurance: Employer covers up to 80% of the employee's monthly premiums on medical, dental, and vision.

🧬 Life Insurance: Basic Life/AD&D of up to $50,000 and the option to add on Supplemental Coverage.

💫 Short-Term Disability: Up to 60% of your earnings for up to a period of 24 weeks.

🤒 Long-Term Disability: If your disability extends beyond 180 days, LTD Coverage for up to 60% of your earnings.

🏖️ Paid Time Off: Eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours per year (15 days) and may borrow up to 40 hours (5 days).

🩺 Sick Time: Eligible employees may accrue up to 40 hours, per year (5 days)

🏖️ Paid Holidays: 12 observed holidays, per calendar year.

🛩️ The Fly Club: up to $2,000 of reimbursement towards flying lessons to all full-time staff
